2012 Mount Veeder Reserve Red Blend - 2012 was a vintage year with nearly idyllic growing conditions. On the nose, you'll find a beautiful mélange of blackberry, sage, wild blueberry, and savory notes with hints of cocoa and mocha. Very rich and complex with lingering black peppercorn and sweet herb. On the palate, deep berry, rosemary, toffee, anise, and bay weave into a dense, supple yet powerful mouthfeel with a long cassis and tobacco finish. Very textural and delicious.
2013 Mount Veeder Reserve Red Blend - 2013 gave us near-perfect growing conditions that led to an early harvest. On the nose, concentrated layers of cassis, fig, and black plum with hints of dark coffee, sweet herbs, cedar, and anise. Th e dense, full body introduces a harmony of flavors, including black cherry, toffee, dark chocolate, and warm spice notes. Powerful yet supple tannins present an elegant texture. A long finish with ripe plum, mocha, graphite, and bay.
2014 Mount Veeder Reserve Red Blend - On the nose, you'll find intricately woven, dense black currant, black peppercorn, and cardamom. Notes of molasses and int lend a very deep and complex aroma. Hints of bay leaf and honey linger in the glass. A bursting palate, with a big mouthfeel and structure, stuffed with dark cherry and plum. Hazelnut and anise, with hints of sage, all add to the richness and layered complexity of this wine. Big in stature, yet supple. A powerfully flavorful wine with grace and restraint, it finishes long with black currant and savory notes.
